Palliative Care

What's the difference between palliative care and hospice care?

Palliative care is whole-person care that relieves symptoms of a disease or disorder, whether or not it can be cured. Hospice is a specific type of palliative care for people who have less than 6 months or less to live. In other words, hospice care is always palliative care, but palliative care is not always hospice care.

Our services are available wherever "home" is-private residences, hospitals, assisted-living facilities, and nursing homes. It is not necessary to be homebound to receive hospice care.

The Adaptive hospice team develops a care plan that meets each patient's individual needs for pain management and symptom control.
